Dear Children, Parents and Staff,

The school year has come to an end but it has been a tremendous year for the school. Everyone has done so well and those efforts have been acknowledged through the “good” Ofsted inspection report and the very good Section 48 report. Well done everyone. Have a good summer so that you may all come back refreshed and with a desire to take the school towards “outstanding” in the next three years.

Just to let you know that since my last letter another governor Mrs. Katy Couvreur has been into the school to monitor a History lesson. She reported: “The teacher gave clear instructions at the outset on what children needed to do once they had completed this task which varied according to the child’s ability with more able children required to answer a series of questions and those of lesser ability to write comparative statements (either three or five, again depending upon ability). It was clear that the lesson had been tailored to meet the needs of both the more able children as well as those requiring a greater level of support.”

To those that are leaving we extend our blessings for your future at your new schools. We hope that you will remember St. Augustine’s with love and pride for what you accomplished here.

God bless you all.

Elizabeth Partridge (Chair of Governors.)
